For some time now,

For some time now, music has not been music, but a corporate image force fed to its “fans” with commercial weight absent of anything worth hearing, and overloaded with what may be worth seeing.

At no time will any music now or in the future possess anything resembling a creative lifeforce that grew in the 1920′s, flourished in the 50′s and 60′s, and fizzling out in the mid-to-late 70′s. For so long now music has lacked style while becoming bloated upon gaudyness and imagary. And now, it is too late.

Thank the heavens for my 8 track. At least Edison created the recording device so that the greatness of the past can be heard again… you just need to know where to look.

I attended Rutgers University and played trumpet, piano, and any other valved instrument thru college to this very day..

Ethics Task Force appointed in N.Y.

Ethics Task Force appointed in N.Y.

Daily Record (Rochester, NY), Jun 30, 2010

New York State Bar Association President Stephen P. Younger on Wednesday announced the formation of a new Task Force on Government Ethics.

The panel, comprising independent experts drawn from diverse backgrounds, including government ethics experts, current and former prosecutors and criminal defense lawyers, academics and local government practitioners, will undertake a review of public sector ethics issues that affect the legal profession.

“New York’s citizens have lost confidence in the integrity of their government institutions,” Younger said in a statement. “All too often, the public believes that their government officials are corrupt. We need comprehensive ethics proposals to restore New Yorkers’ confidence in government.”

He said a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision makes it less likely government officials can be prosecuted under the theft of honest services law, and that it’s “particularly important that we review the entire area of government ethics and the statutes that allow for enforcement.”

Patricia E. Salkin, associate dean and director of the Government Law Center at Albany Law School, and Michael J. Garcia, the former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, will serve as co-chairmen of the task force. Its subcommittees will focus on several issues, such as whether New York should adopt a statewide anti-corruption law and, if so, what components should be included.

Lender files suit against Omphoy

Lender files suit against Omphoy

0 Comments | Palm Beach Daily News, Jul 29, 2010 | by MARGIE KACOHA Daily News Staff Writer

The Omphoy Ocean Resort is facing possible foreclosure following a complaint filed by the mortgage holder earlier this month.

The lender, Stabfund (USA) Inc., stated in its July 16 suit that the South End property’s owners and other interested parties are in default on the $60 million note.

According to the court filing against CSC PB Beach, an affiliate of West Palm Beach-based Ceebraid-Signal, the Omphoy recently told the bank it would cease funding the hotel operations. As a result, the documents say, the lender has used reserve funds to meet payroll and other hotel expenses.

The suit also says the Omphoy failed to make required payments on May 9 and June 9.

Ceebraid-Signal redeveloped the hotel and reopened it in early 2009 under the management of Obadon Hotels. In 2007, CSC PB Beach obtained a $60 million mortgage to renovate the hotel from UBS Real Estate Securities. That loan was assigned in 2009 to Stabfund, an affiliate of Switzerland-based Schweizerische Nationalbank.

Other Ceebraid-Signal projects in Palm Beach have included The Brazilian Court and Il Lugano condominium.

The company has offices in West Palm Beach, New York and Connecticut.

The Omphoy, at 2842 S. Ocean Blvd., also has been in trouble recently for violations of the Palm Beach Town Code. Fines imposed by the town against the Omphoy total $86,800 as of Wednesday, and continue to accrue at $500 per day.

she miraculously survived against all

she miraculously survived against all odds, was sponsored to study abroad, and got to tell her amazing story to millions thanks to the press and Oprah. She was then studying to become a nurse as she wanted to help her people and be a witness for God.

Yes, she publicly gave God the glory for her miraculous healing and everything that followed. She was glowing, happy, seemingly well adjusted and self assured. That story made me sit up and exclaim: Wow, could I be as serene and full of praise to God if I had been in her shoes? Er… I should say barefoot, as she had been, with a constantly gnawing, empty stomach with misery and death all around her for agonizing years. She had the ?right? to blame her circumstances, her government, the rest of the world who stood idly by, and God for her plight. She could also have accepted her lot and lived in desperation with no hope, believing that it was god?s (yes, god with a small ?g?) will, according to some beliefs.

This gal (and I wish I remembered her name ? but God knows her intimately!) knew that she had a heavenly Father who would take care of her! Whether or not she had heard of Jesus at that tender age, she had a hunger inside of her that was even more intense than the physical starvation that tried to take her life! The Lord rewarded that yearning, the groaning of the Spirit, her reaching out to Him until she truly found Him.

Nikki would overheat

Nikki would overheat after just 5 minutes in the shower. I tried to keep cool drinking water as much as possible. Also, invest in AC or open the windows, depending on the season.

Also, it?s time to start making certain preparations for the delivery. It may feel premature, but you?ll be glad you did.

?Get a bag ready and set aside with a bathrobe and overnight clothes for both of you.

?Get another bag with snacks and games ? I didn?t realize this before but labor can take a long time! This is especially true if it?s your 1st baby. In our case it was 26 hours before Cadyn (our son) arrived. Nikki, her mom and I played a great deal of cards during the slow period.

As a helpful hubby, take part in the preparations or even take charge of them. Your wife needs to focus on what?s ahead.

This brings me to my final big point, and this goes for both of you.

I can tell you that when you

I can tell you that when you finally do this, you will be humbled indeed. I suppose that is a good thing, even though us entrepreneurs seem to have above average egos.

So with this said let me first say, I cannot give you our manuals for free, generally our perfected business model is sold in the form of a franchise and the franchise fees are generally $20,000 up front. But as an entrepreneur I will give the basic outline, which you need to write your own. Which if you intend to franchise your current business, I highly recommend you do it yourself or with a close in-house team. If you choose to hire a writer, pay a little extra and spend a little more time putting all your ideas into a tape or digital recorder so that the true important details are not lost in the political correctness of a Manual Writer.

As hair loss is such

As hair loss is such a big problem for so many people, and as hair transplant surgery becomes more and more effective, it is more in demand.

However hair transplant surgery is usually the last in the list of things that you need to consider if you are suffering from hair loss.

For those who are suffering from some degree of hair loss there are some steps you need to take before you consider hair transplant surgery. Hair loss is not necessarily permanent, and the very first thing that you need to do is to consult your doctor and find out a specific cause.

Hair loss can be temporary. For example there are various medical conditions and medical treatments which can cause hair loss and once these conditions have been treated or the treatments stopped the hair recovers. No need for hair transplant surgery there.

And where you have a diagnosed hair loss condition that may well be permanent, such as male pattern baldness, or permanent hereditary hair loss, there can still be some other options to consider.

The first option is to do nothing.

TALENTED graduates of the University of Liverpool were praised by a city law firm as they picked up the prestigious Rose Bowl prize.

The pair scored the highest marks in their final year medical law exams to win the Rose Bowl and a pounds 150 cheque.

Maxwell Hodge partner, Simon Leyland attended an event at the University Law School, where he presented their award.

He said: “I’d really like to congratulate Rebecca and Barnaby for all the hard work they’ve put in.

“It’s encouraging to see such talented people coming into the industry and I hope both they and the rest of the graduates from the law school forge a great career for themselves in the legal sector.”

In fact one fitness professional called

In fact one fitness professional called this diet ?the Atkins Diet soaked in macadamia nut oil?

Hazelnuts were also checked in a study of 70 children and 104 adults, HDL levels were raised and LDL levels lowered.

Something else that I find quite unique in the study was that weight gain did not occur even though researchers were supplementing with several hundred additional calories. This is something that no one would have considered eating extra fat calories from nuts and nut oils may actually help maintain your weight. Notice that I did NOT say it would force you to lose weight so don?t go pig out on nuts thinking you will lose weight,

Studies also reveal a decrease in coronary heart risk in those who consume nuts frequently. The Iowa Women?s Study of 34,000 women found that higher nut consumption resulted in a 40% reduction in cardiovascular disease risk.

A Study of 22000 male physicians found a significant decrease in sudden death as well as cardiac death as nut consumption increased.

The mechanism is still unclear, but the fact that nuts work for lowering cardiac risk cannot be denied.
